]]>The big story of yesterday obviously doesn’t include The Arsenal, but as always, when you hear a story the likes of the City one and the magnitude of it you start to apply your own thoughts relating to your own club. Arsenal fans from around the world can purchase Arsenal Football Tickets online to enjoy its magnificent performances.
My first thoughts were “is the Champions League now more attainable if the fifth-place gets you in?” Which was shortly followed by “Chris, Arsenal is tenth in the league, the fifth is even an outside bet!”

Bloody typical that, eh? The season where we may actually have a better chance of getting top four than any thanks to an external factor and we’ve already sh*t the bed.
It shouldn’t matter though. I have no faith that this ruling by UEFA to ban Man City for two seasons will be upheld. Football clubs have too much money, too many high powered lawyers who can spin any situation.
So this will cost City a bit of cash, but it’ll get thrown out by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the effect will be but a few pennies removed from the mega coffers of the Abu Dhabi royal family.
Financial Football doping has been around since Abramovich arrived, clubs have proved they can get away with doing what they want, so that’s that. I can’t believe I’ve seen some City fans complaining that FFP was a design to keep the rich clubs richer. They have literally cheat coded their way to the top of English football. How is that fair to any other team that works within the confines of their budgets?
Anyway, let’s get back to The Arsenal and it’s back to Premier League action at home to Newcastle. Arteta was in front of the assembled press yesterday and he gave an update on the warm winter break in Dubai, as well as team news update ahead of tomorrow’s match. And broadly speaking its good news.

We have Kolasinac and Saka both fit, which means options on the left, as well as Tierney back in March. It means we’ll be able to field a back four of players in their natural positions for the first time in bloody ages and that can only be a good thing.
Those of you hoping to see Pablo Mari will probably be a bit disappointed though. As Arteta pointed out, he’s still technically in his pre-season because of when the Brazilian league starts and finishes, so I doubt he’ll be risked from the off against Newcastle.
But given the different options Arteta has I don’t see that as too much of a problem. Luiz has looked better under Arteta and heck, even Mustafi has looked better, stupid brain-fart moment against Chelski aside. So there are options.
Midfield we have a full complement and there are also options in attack too, with Nelson back to full fitness. I think Arteta has taken a shine to Nelson so it wouldn’t surprise me to see him at least on the bench on Sunday.
In his absence, Martinelli has been picking up goals and assists so I suspect he’s nudged in front of Nelson in the pecking order, but that doesn’t mean the English kid won’t be given chances. I certainly think that will happen in the coming weeks and I reckon we might also see more of him at some stage on Sunday.
Arteta also spoke about Pepe and how he’s adapting to the league. Given that this season is a write off I think it’s kind of ok that he’s taking his time and I personally think we’ve seen enough flashes to suggest he’s going to be one heck of a player. The challenge – as Arteta pointed out yesterday – is that when you come with a big price tag the expectations are lifted massively.

Players adapt at different times. I remember Drogba coming from France and he was a bit of a donkey in the first season. Adebayor was no great shakes as well when he joined. Both from the French league.
But De Bruyne and Salah stepped up straight away. Sometimes it just happens like that. The important thing – again, as Arteta pointed out – is that he’s given the right structure and environment to thrive.
Arteta also mentioned that getting a run of games together as a player is massive and that’s why I am now thinking we might see Pepe tomorrow from the start. It feels like a bit of a hint from the manager. I hope so. I really want him to come good. We all want him to come good.
let’s face it, given the financial outlay we had on him last summer, we kind of need him to come good. We aren’t a club who can just write off debts or players, so we need this transfer to work, which means Arteta knows he needs to give Pepe more game time. Whether that’s at the expense of Martinelli or Lacazette tomorrow remains to be seen.
There were lots that Arteta said yesterday in his pre-match presser yesterday (Tierney, etc), but before I wrap up today I just want to focus on one thing, which was how he said the team was focusing on different setups depending on in-game situations. This is telling, and heartening, for me personally.

Arteta has had to deal with the likes of Burnley and the way they set up or going down to ten men, so the fact that he was happy to be so open about trying adaptable approaches is good to hear.
You could say that most managers might do that, but they don’t communicate that; Emery certainly didn’t communicate that to us. It shows that Arteta is comfortable talking about this publicly and if that’s the case, then it’ll be the case even more so behind closed doors when he speaks to his players.
Football matches have so many variables in them that a team well equipped to deal with those will always be successful. That’s what Arteta’s trying to build and yesterday’s comments were just another example to me of how he’s moving us in the right direction.

]]>After three days, Arsenal is back in action against Newcastle Utd on Sunday afternoon. Lee Mason was nominated for this one and it is far from the best that PGMOL has to offer. In fact, none of them really stand out for their excellence.
Just this morning, Mail Online published an article about two referees who failed their fitness tests to become members of the FIFA International List. Sports enthusiasts from around the world can purchase Arsenal Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

There will be no Euros for Andy Madley or David Coote unless they pass on the second attempt given to them after blaming the flu for their poor performance. What a poppy. If either had had a dose of flu, he wouldn’t have gotten out of bed in the first place.
It was not a good time for the PGMOL, as Jon Moss found himself in hot water because of his alleged comments made to Bournemouth players in their 2-1 loss to Sheffield Utd.
Dan Gosling said the referee did not help. Giving slight mistakes and small comments to two or three guys didn’t really help too. I thought it was very disrespectful what he said.
These are just the little niggly and then the sarcastic little comments. Officials state about respect at the start of the season and there was no respect from Jon Moss on Sunday.
I thought it was a shame. The comments he made especially to me and another player – talking about the relegation zone and “you’re still in the relegation zone”, “you have one”, “your team has one”, this and that and that was very, very disrespectful.
In my opinion, Jon Moss is up there with some of the worst referees in the Premier League, followed closely by the others. They are “managed” by a guy who must be one of the few who has not been able to oversee the successful implementation of VAR in England.
A subject discussed several times, but it still fails. Not because of technology in my opinion but because of operators who seem to ignore the “clear and obvious” rule.

Marc Clattenburg also found himself in trouble a few years ago for reasons similar to Moss. His comments were made to Adam Lallana who was then in Southampton. Clattenburg referred to the game change since he was called up for England, which didn’t go well.
Clattenburg said his comments were aimed at disseminating a situation rather than shaking his cards for dissent. Moss may have been doing the same thing, but even so, there is a difference between the two. Mocking the position and difficulties of the Bournemouth League was, in my opinion, unprofessional.
However, footballers cannot play on both tables. You don’t have to be a professional spreader to determine what some players learn from officials, so why are they surprised, upset even when they come back a little? Two wrongs don’t make a right of course but if it’s the start of something regular, there will only be one result. Zero tolerance in both directions.
Rugby is right. There is mutual respect between officials and players and when a referee speaks, the player listens. No first name is used during the game, just numbers and the color of the jersey and therefore problems rarely materialize.
Football referees seem to want to be everyone’s friends, certainly in many cases anyway. I remember Rooney had always been called Wayne by Mike Dean during our games, but these were just surnames for our guys.
Referees, linesmen, and women are there to do a job and they have to be professional. Footballers are not their best friend, they should not laugh and joke with the two and the same goes for officials. If a player begins to abuse the referee, reserve them. If he continues, send him back. After all, it’s in the rules.

This sends a message to children who are also growing up and to their parents/guardians who raise them while playing sports. Getting it right at the local level will only create a better future in all sports.
As for Jon Moss, well, he’s been cleared of any wrongdoing, which isn’t a big surprise, but that begs the question of how this incident was investigated. If Bournemouth’s complaint was formalized, someone other than Mike Riley should have investigated. For me, a large broom appeared and the nearest mat was lifted.

The RB Leipzig star would roll the club back more than £60 million, but that would be a sensational investment given its potential.
Arsenal signed two loans in January, but football director Raul Sanllehi suggested Mikel Arteta would receive funds to make transfers in the summer window.

When Mikel Arteta took over the reins of Arsenal, he was told that he would not have much money to spend in the January transfer window. Arsenal football chief Raul Sanllehi said the club sees January as a “tactical” window and that summer is all about business.
Overall, it’s not the strategic window. By definition, it’s the summer window,” said Sanllehi. That’s when you plan the season ahead. Last summer we made an incredible effort where we were very grateful for the support we got from us to really go further and do, as I said, a genuine venture to raise our hopes for the season.
Arteta brought two loan signatures in January, but the Spaniard is eyeing new recruits to land this summer, with a pair of midfielders and a defender on his wish list. Here we examine how Arsenal could line up if Arteta signed the players with whom the Gunners were most strongly linked in recent months.
Arsenal needs a central defender, despite the fact that they will welcome William Saliba to the club at the end of the season. The 18-year-old will need the support of more experienced players around him and could tour with someone like Gabriel Magalhaes if Arteta lands the Brazilian.
Magalhaes has become an Arsenal target and the 22-year-old is likely to pay fees of around £ 30 million. Alternatively, the Gunners could make a signing statement, and no one fits this bill better than the long-term Dayot Upamecano goal.

Settle in the midfield and Arteta would have liked to sign two players. The Gunners need a box-to-box midfielder and have been linked to a move for 22-year-old Frenchman Christopher Nkunku in recent months.
Like Upamecano, Nkunku is currently at RB Leipzig but would command lower transfer fees than the central defender. If Arteta were to land Nkunku, he probably wouldn’t launch him directly into the background.
Instead, he would like the midfielder to alternate with Uruguayan international Lucas Torreira, with Matteo Guendouzi on the outskirts. Arsenal is also looking for a creative midfielder – someone to succeed Mesut Ozil, now that he is reaching the twilight of his career.
Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu fits that bill and is already a player on Arsenal’s radar before the summer transfer window. Again, the 19-year-old will not be thrown into the depths of north London and would likely be on rotation with Ozil for the foreseeable future, if signed.
Up Arsenal is relatively strong. Arteta is satisfied with Nicolas Pepe and begins to see an improvement from Alexandre Lacazette. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is linked to a distance, Barcelona wishing to sign the Gabonese international. But with Gabriel Martinelli waiting behind the scenes, the Gunners do not lack firepower.

The Arsenal XI potential (with players in rotation) for the next season: Bernd Leno, Hector Bellerin, William Saliba / Gabriel Magalhaes, Dayot Upamecano, Kieran Tierney, Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira / Christopher Nkunku, Mesut Ozil / Orkun Kokcu, Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

It’s suggested that Arteta – Manchester City’s assistant manager – is poised to leave his role to become Arsenal boss, replacing Unai Emery.
But Arsenal isn’t done raiding City just yet, as a move for talent spotter Fagbemi is believed to be at an ‘advanced stage’ and could be done soon.
Fagbemi is only 25, but has earned a strong reputation at City, and is set to trade the Etihad Stadium for the Emirates having been offered a strong role in Arsenal’s youth recruitment.
What’s interesting is that Fagbemi has already been at Arsenal in the past, serving as a Video Scout for the Arsenal youth academy before leaving for City in 2017.
Fagbemi’s work has predominantly been done in the south of England, helping City sign the likes of Millwall duo Sam Edozie and Darko Gyabi and as well as West Ham’s Josh Wilson-Eshbrand and Ipswich Town’s Ben Knight.

Signing players that were so close in proximity to Arsenal was allegedly a source of frustration to the Gunners, which is why they’re now trying to bring Fagbemi back and strengthen Arsenal’s youth recruiting in areas that he knows so well.
Arsenal not be done there though, as Phil Antwi – Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Senior Academy Scout – is also a target, with plenty of work going into trying to build up the Arsenal youth ranks ahead of Arteta’s imminent arrival.

]]>Under normal circumstances, a team in tenth place, ten points adrift of the top four with 15 games to go, could probably stick their passports away for the following season, safe in the knowledge that they wouldn’t be playing in Europe’s elite competition. However, things are a little different this season, the campaign in which nobody wants to qualify for the Champions League, with all the main contenders tossing around points like confetti. You can purchase online Premier League Tickets from our website, around the world to enjoy its terrific performances.
Arsenal, therefore, is in with a chance. But only if they beat Chelsea on Tuesday, and that’s in the words of their manager. “It’s very, very important for us to win this game to fight for [the top four],” Mikel Arteta said this week
Following Chelsea, this season has been, at the very least, entertaining. It has been since the end of October anyway: since then, a run lasting 19 games in all competitions, they have only registered the same result in consecutive games once, and that was the back-to-back victories against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup and Burnley in the league at the start of this month. Otherwise, they haven’t managed to string two wins together, not even two draws or two defeats.

The most obvious explanation for that is their talented but incomplete and inexperienced squad: with that, this sort of inconsistency is perhaps inevitable. But it’s still a concern: Chelsea’s grip on the fourth place has loosened with this inconsistency, and if Frank Lampard wants his side to be sure of a spot in the Champions League, he has to get them winning like they were in the autumn.
It was slightly unusual to see Chris Wilder display even a hint of an inferiority complex, but when he was asked about his Sheffield United side’s prospects against Manchester City, he puffed his cheeks out and chuckled, as if he was the manager of a plucky lower league side drawn against them in the FA Cup.
But Wilder will know that City are vulnerable: they’ve already dropped more points in 23 games this season than they did in the whole of the last term, beaten already by brave minnows like Wolves, Norwich and Manchester United.
So, there’s no reason why Wilder’s Blades can’t get something from the visit of City. Wilder might have been cautious in public, but you can guarantee he will be filling his players with the confidence to beat their stumbling behemoth opponents.
The one pinprick of light for the other 19 teams in the Premier League used to be Liverpool’s inability to keep a clean sheet. In their first 15 games, they only kept their opponents out on two occasions, but in the subsequent seven fixtures they haven’t let in a single goal: the last time Liverpool conceded was on December 4, to Everton, some 675 minutes of football ago. They’re an utterly absurd team, now at both ends of the pitch.
So, it will need something pretty special to breach their backline: a step forward probably the most exciting non-Liverpool player in the Premier League at the moment, Adama Traore. Wolves’ resources are stretched sugar paper-thin at the moment but their lack of depth is currently being compensated for by brilliance in the players they do have available, most notably Traore who inspired their comeback win at Southampton on Saturday. If anyone is going to break Liverpool down, you fancy it will be someone like Traore.
Even with Leicester’s new lofty position in the top four, the prospect of this match doesn’t quicken the pulse. But it will be interesting just to see whether Leicester’s recent results and performances represent a blip or something more serious. You can perhaps forgive dropping points against a resurgent Southampton or away to a Burnley side who will always provide a stiff test. But if they don’t win at home to West Ham, for whom the new manager shine from David Moyes’s return has already firmly dimmed, then there could be more significant problems afoot.

Steve Bruce doesn’t need any luck at the moment when it comes to results (although the win over Chelsea was their first victory in four), but he could do with some gods of fate looking upon him a little kindlier as far as injuries are concerned. Jetro Willems was the latest to fall lame, out for the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury, while Paul Dummett has also been ruled out for a long spell and Fabian Sachar is only just coming back from his injury sustained just before Christmas. Newcastle could just do with all of their important players staying upright at the moment.
Arsenal and Chelsea will play for the 200th time across all competitions, with Arsenal leading the series with 77 wins (65 for Chelsea) and 57 draws.
Tottenham have been held scoreless in three consecutive Premier League matches for the first time since November 2013.
Manchester United have a 10-game unbeaten streak vs. Burnley (6-0-4), with their last loss to the Clarets coming in August 2009.
Liverpool’s 64 points through 22 matches are the best start ever in Europe’s Top 5 leagues.
Perhaps it’s because of the Birmingham City tattoo that adorns his chest, but Troy Deeney seems to light up at the very thought of playing Aston Villa: he’s faced them three times in his career so far, and has five goals to show for it. He bagged a brace against them a few weeks ago, and given Watford’s uptick in form and Villa’s assorted fragilities, a bet on him finding the net again looks like a pretty safe one.
Crystal Palace 2-2 Southampton
Aston Villa 1-2 Watford
Bournemouth 0-0 Brighton
Everton 2-0 Newcastle United
Sheffield United 1-1 Manchester City
Chelsea 3-2 Arsenal
Tottenham 2-1 Norwich City
Leicester 1-0 West Ham United
Manchester United 2-0 Burnley
Wolves 1-3 Liverpool

Arsenal has confirmed that Sead Kolasinac and Reiss Nelson will both miss the clash against Chelsea on Tuesday night. You can purchase online Premier League Tickets from our website, around the world to enjoy its terrific performances.

The pair missed the 1-1 draw against Sheffield United at the weekend, and will again be absent as Mikel Arteta’s side travel to west London.
The Gunners have confirmed that Kolasinac is still recovering from the left thigh strain that kept him out of their Emirates clash with the Blades, while Nelson is out with a hamstring problem.
Both are expected to return to full training during the winter break, meaning they will also miss the clash against Burnley on 2 February.
Sokratis was also left out of the side on Saturday after suffering from illness, but Arsenal confirmed that the Greek defender will be assessed ahead of the midweek clash. With Kieran Tierney still in rehabilitation after his shoulder problem, Bukayo Saka is again set to deputies at left-back against Chelsea.
The teenager started against Sheffield United on Saturday, and Gunner’s boss Mikel Arteta was full of praise for his performance.

“I think he could (have a future at left-back) because he’s willing to learn, he is applying himself the big time he is someone that has never played (that position) before but he’s really trying to do it as well as possible,” Arteta said.
Elsewhere, Arsenal could make changes in attack for the Chelsea clash, after Eddie Nketiah returned to the Arsenal squad at the weekend. After being recalled from his loan spell at Leeds United, the striker was set to be sent out to another Championship club, but after watching him in training, Arteta opted against sending Nketia on another short-term deal.
Speaking to reporters, Arteta admitted that the forward has a chance of featuring from the start at Stamford Bridge. We will assess who is in the best conditions to play in who is training well and we’ll make the decision based on that.

]]>Swiss international Xhaka has come in for criticism from the Arsenal fans following a disrupted season at the Emirates Stadium where he was stripped of the captaincy
Will he stay or will he go?
The Swiss international was heavily linked with a move to the Bundesliga before the January transfer window opened, with Hertha Berlin keen to tie up a deal for him. New Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta wants him to stay, however, saying: “I don’t want him to leave. I’ve said to the club no. Football fans from all over the world can buy online Premier League Tickets to enjoy its stunning performances.
“I had a conversation with him and I wanted to understand his feelings first, the reason why he was thinking here probably wasn’t the right place to continue his career,” said Arteta.

“I gave him my opinion, my perspective, and I told him that I was ready to support him from the club perspective.
“I wanted his team-mates to get his back and help him to change his mind because we need him. I believe that if we were able to do that the fans would respond in a positive way.”
Not for the first time in his Arsenal career, Xhaka was lucky not to be red-carded during the FA Cup third-round win over Leeds United on Monday night.
And his actions on the pitch drew criticism once more from former Liverpool star Danny Murphy.
Speaking on TalkSport, Murphy even made the claim that Xhaka would be better off signing for Liverpool than staying at Arsenal.
He said: “If you play midfield you can’t keep making the same mistakes and expect not to be criticized.

“I can’t doubt his passion, his work ethic, but when you run around headless and don’t think about what you’re doing you’re going to keep getting booked and you’re going to keep being a liability for your team. He doesn’t learn, he lets the passion get the better of him.
“For Arsenal to move forward and be a team that Arteta wants to compete, I don’t think you can carry midfielders like that.
“Xhaka is one-paced. If he was in Liverpool’s side with [Jordan] Henderson and Fabinho, he would look a hell of a player because he’s technically good, a good passer, he can open you up, he’s got the ability with a great left foot.
“But when you’re in a team that’s struggling a little bit he’s a passenger defensively and liability it’s a dilemma for Arteta.”

]]>The latest transfer news and gossip from across the Premier League as Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester United, and Liverpool look to strengthen in the January window
We are into the second week of the January transfer window and clubs across the Premier League and Europe are already planning their moves.
Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham fans will all be hoping their teams are busy in the market, with the Blues looking to strengthen their hold on the top four, while the Gunners will be desperate for reinforcements to boost their ailing season. Football fans from all over the world can buy online Premier League Tickets to enjoy its stunning performances.
Jose Mourinho and his Spurs side will want to continue challenging for those Champions League places, but they will perhaps be looking for some defensive additions to do so.
West Ham will also be scouring the market, after appointing David Moyes as their new manager.
The Scot will surely want to bolster his squad to ease any relegation worries.
Here are the latest gossip and live updates ahead of the opening of the transfer window.

Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that the Serie A giants have had no contact with Christian Eriksen about a January transfer.
The Tottenham star has been heavily linked with a move away from north London, with his contract set to expire this summer at Spurs.
As such, he is now free to speak with other clubs in Europe about a possible free transfer, with the Dane now in the final six months of his contract.
But amid speculation that a move to Italy could be on the cards, Marotta has spoken out on the situation regarding the Tottenham man, who he described as an “interesting player.”
Speaking to Sky Italy, he said:
Eriksen? It’s not a done deal and we’re not in contact with Tottenham.
He’s a fantastic player and there here are many clubs in talks to sign Eriksen because he’ll be a free agent. I can just say he’s an interesting player.
According to The Athletic, Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric has held talks with MLS side DC United, where Wayne Rooney spent last season.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United are keen to sign Leicester City midfielder James Maddison but are aware that a deal to bring the England star to Old Trafford would be highly difficult to complete this month.

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says he is “committed” to the club, despite rumours after his future.
According to the Mirror, Inter Milan have made a £20m bid for Tottenham star Christian Eriksen, but manager Antonio Conte would prefer to sign Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal.
Dembele ‘accepts’ decision on Chelsea transfer
Chelsea has reportedly been dealt a blow in their attempt to sign Moussa Dembele from Lyon.
The 22-year-old is the French side’s top scorer this season, with 14 goals in all competitions.
The young striker has been linked with Frank Lampard’s side, with Lyon recently taking the unusual measure of releasing a statement saying that they want to keep the striker for “seasons to come”.
With Lyon’s other attacking star Memphis Depay also ruled out for the rest of the season, the Telegraph (via the Star) state that Dembele has accepted that he will not be leaving the club in the January transfer window.
However, he is said to be “desperate” for a move in the summer.
Arsenal and Spurs are said to have taken “concrete steps” towards signing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus.
The North London sides have been linked with the 24-year-old for some time, but Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival at Everton means the Toffees are now the frontrunners to sign the midfielder.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Everton is “especially” keen, and are willing to pay €5m (£4.25m) to secure a six-month loan for the former PSG star, with an option to buy in the summer.
Juve is still not convinced on an exit for the French star, who has only been in Serie A for six months.
Tuttosport, meanwhile, states that Everton is ‘insisting’ on paying €30m for the midfielder in January.
Liverpool, Chelsea, and Spurs are all said to be monitoring Brighton defender Ben White, who is currently on loan at Leeds.
Sky Sports state that the three Premier League clubs have all scouted the center-back recently.
However, there is apparently no break clause in his loan deal, so a move for the 22-year-old in January is unlikely.
Spurs are reportedly chasing Manchester United’s young defender Junior Nkwonta.

The youngster is apparently set to leave United and has been offered trials by a number of Premier League clubs.
However, All Nigeria Soccer states that the center-back has agreed to train with Spurs ahead of a potential deal.
How close is Jose Mourinho to raiding his former side…?
Spurs are said to be considering a loan offer for Atletico Madrid attacker Thomas Lemar.
The winger would cost around €6m (£5.1m) on an initial six-month loan, and there would apparently be an option to buy worth €60m (£51m) inserted into the deal.
The Independent states that the player is keen on an exit from Madrid in January after falling out of favor with Diego Simeone.
Lemar has also been linked to Arsenal, with Spurs’ rivals said to be following the situation.
Eddie Nketiah is said to be close to choosing his next club as he spends the second half of the season on loan away from Arsenal.
Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City are all said to be in contention to sign the striker, with the Athletic stating that he will be deciding his next move today.
Arsenal is said to be adamant that whichever side wins the race for Nketiah gives him plenty of game time for the rest of the season.

The Metropolitan Police have rejected a freedom of information request relating to how many incidents of racist abuse in the capital’s football stadiums were reported to the force during the 2018/19 season. Football fans around the world can buy online Premier League Tickets to enjoy its stunning performances.
While a dozen other police forces across England have confirmed a significant rise in reports of racial abuse, the Met said that they would not calculate the number of reported incidents under their jurisdiction for cost reasons.
More than 300 games were policed by the force last season and they said that it would exceed either the 18-hour or £4,500 cap to compile the exact figures.
There have already been several racist incidents involving London’s Premier League clubs in 2019/20.

On New Year’s Day, a Brighton supporter was arrested for racially abusing Chelsea players, Spurs and the Met are continuing to investigate after Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger reported hearing monkey noises from the stands during the London derby before Christmas while a Blues fan was arrested after abusing Son Heung-min in the same game.
Last month a young West Ham United supporter was sent on an education program having been arrested for racially abusing Crystal Palace players in their recent meeting at the London Stadium.
Racism has marred games lower down the pyramid, too, with October’s FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie between Haringey Borough and Yeovil Town abandoned after the North London club’s players walked off because of abuse from traveling supporters.
The game ended up being replayed, with Yeovil advancing to the next round. Four men were arrested after the game and a police investigation continues.
