Man Utd has beaten Chelsea 2-0 in the Premier League match on Monday night and here are the main talking facts.

Manchester United fans would have been excused for fearing the worst when Eric Bailly’s starting place was leaked ahead of facing Chelsea on Monday night. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

The hugely popular Ivorian has remained a fan favorite throughout his injury-plagued spell at Old Trafford, but the decision to start him in the biggest game of the season was a huge call.

Solskjaer joked ahead of kick-off Bailly, who had not started a game since last April, was looking for payback having got injured in that last outing 10 months ago. It is safe to say he delivered.

Bailly might have looked a little jaded early on and was at risk of ruining his return when he gifted Pedro the ball in the opening moments of the game, but it is a huge testament to him how he responded.

Playing in a makeshift back-three the center back stole the show with a vintage display that saw him put his body on the line, thwarting the Chelsea attacks at every available opportunity.

Victor Lindelof’s absence was a huge blow ahead of kick-off, but it is a testament to Bailly that by the end of the match his former defensive partner wasn’t on anyone’s mind.

Odion Ighalo debut

Odion Ighalo was clearing itching to come on against Chelsea from the word go. The Nigerian arrived Stamford Bridge alone onward of kick-off, and put up silent on the pitch as he sopping up his Premier League return.

Solskjaer raised an eyebrow and offered a smile at the striker as he walked back to the bench in the first-half, a reassuring moment for a 30-year-old who has been sent back to his childhood fantasy.

Ighalo finished his warm-up then put up for about five seconds just watching the game like a fan because he is.

Irrupted by the display they had seen so far, Chelsea fans yelled go back to China at the most recent addition, Ighalo’s reaction was to simply flash a smile.

No problem what takes place in the next five months his vision has come real. His miss in injury time will be playing on his mind for the rest of the week, but the smile won’t be going anywhere from his face.

Man Utd still need another attacking midfielder

Over the winter break, it seemed every pundit in the world had something to say about January arrival Bruno Fernandes.

However, it appears the words of his former Sporting coach Carlos Carvahal are the ones that warrant the most attention following his recent display.

Fernandes looked decent again at Stamford Bridge but, as Carvahal warned, his best position is not as an attacking midfielder but deeper in a three.

The 26-year-old again produced another brilliant display against Chelsea but it seems like his long-term future at the club will be as part of a midfield partnership with someone else in the front.

Grealish shone again at the weekend in Aston Villa’s loss to Tottenham while displaying all of the tenacity and creativity which is needed to complement this gradually improving midfield. A summer move surely has to be considered.

Man Utd have a mental advantage over Chelsea now

On a weekend which saw Tottenham and Arsenal together top much-needed victories, this was a forceful answer from Solskjaer and his side.

Defeat would have ended all hopes of Champions League football next season but instead, the dream is very much alive after another vintage away performance.

Chelsea had lost just one of their last 17 Premier League home games against Man Utd heading into the encounter on Monday night, well now they have lost three times to them this season.

In all of the competitions, this season Lampard might contend his side has played the good football, but they have nil to show for it.

There will still be plenty of twists and turns before the end of the current campaign but after a week of rejuvenation, Manchester United are fully committed to the fight in front of them.

The news of Manchester City’s European veto came too late on Friday for many rumors about the upcoming of their players to gain any grip this morning.

They will come tomorrow, no doubt. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Maddison Up For Man Utd Move

So for now, the Gossip continues to swirl across the other side of Manchester United. The Daily Star tells us nothing we did not already know in their story about United wanting James Maddison, Grealish, and Sancho.

The Manchester Evening News puts a little more meat on Maddison’s bones by quoting a source close to the Leicester star as saying he would have been at Manchester United years before if it was up to him.

Pogba Price Slashed Again

Much depends on whether or not Man Utd can shift Paul Pogba. The France midfielder has spent most of the season trying to whittle down his value to smooth the way for a summer exit, and it seems to be doing the trick.

Manchester United wanted at least £150million last year but The Guardian reckons they will accept £83million at the end of the season, less than what they paid for him.

Presumably, the looming European Championships might force Pogba to put his boots on in the coming months and Manchester United can only hope the motivation of playing for France will motivate the midfielder to push his worth up, rather than any energy to perform for the club that pays his incomes.

Dier on Red Devils Radar

To displeasure the attention in the likes of Maddison, Grealish, and Sancho, the Daily Star also says Manchester United are keen on Eric Dier.

The Tottenham midfielder is set to be put up for sale this summer unless he agrees on new terms, which appears unlikely given his lack of game time under Jose Mourinho.

Dier cannot complain, his form has been awful amid a succession of injuries.

But that has not put off Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Manchester United has retained a long-standing interest in Dier, who grew up supporting the Red Devils, and could finally make their move in the coming months.

Arsenal And Chelsea Eye Isco

It seems that Man Utd is one of the few Premier League clubs not chasing Isco. The Real Madrid playmaker has been linked with an exit for what feels like forever but this summer might finally see him quit the Bernabeu.

Because Real are plotting a rebuild that needs paying for. El Desmarque reckons Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs looking to chip in so long as they get Isco in exchange for around £63million.

The City is also credited with an interest but they will have a rather more difficult time now selling themselves to the Spain midfielder.

And The Rest
Inter will target Pierre-Emerick if they lose Lautaro Martinez.  Striker Martinez is wanted by Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Tahith Chong is considering an offer from Inter. Olivier Giroud has been offered a pre-contract agreement by Lazio. Barca wants to re-sign Wolves winger Adama Traore.

Fred was a worthy recipient of the Man Utd player of the month award and perceptions of his need to change despite his non-existent numbers.

Pep Guardiola series from genuine to ironic in press conferences; however his paean to the Manchester United midfielders at the Etihad previous week announced genuine. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Matic and Fred, they are incredible players, Guardiola cooed. He had previously sought out Fred after the December derby to console the Manchester United midfielder after he appeared to be subjected to racial taunts.

Fred’s performance at City was blemished by his late free-kick that barely got off the ground and hit the wall. Before he connected, Solskjaer was waving frantically in what is becoming a regular occurrence, as if imploring Juan Mata to pull rank. Fred’s execution was not as bad as Solskjaer’s at his post-match debrief.

Solskjaer Sayings

“Juan is the top one when he senses like it,” Solskjaer said. “But they practiced yesterday and Juan said me Fred was implausible in exercise yesterday; he counted six or seven on the bound and they both sensed it was his moment.

“That was a conclusion they made there and then. Possibly the right choice just did not work out fine.”

Fred’s only Man Utd goal was a tidy side-footed against Wolves nearly 18 months ago. A Twitter search of Fred free-kick brought up a video of him lashing one in past compatriot and friend Alisson in the Champions League three seasons ago.

Fred still expected the man of the match tribute, debatably by defaulting after Nemanja Matic’s strategic foul on Ilkay Gundogan led to his exclusion.

Fred was more probing in the 2-1 victory two months ago but his performance in the League Cup semi-final second leg was more mature, in that Manchester United had to manage the delicate balance of preventing City from scoring and trying to score two. It nearly came off.

Remarkably, Fred attempted 22 more passes in the second leg than he did in the league triumph and his duel win ratio shot up from 33 percent in December to 59 percent in January against nearly the same collection of midfielders.

Without Scott McTominay, Fred has brought out the best in Matic and vice versa.

Man Utd Spotters views

Man Utd supporters voted Fred as the club’s player of the month for January and he is the first non-British recipient this season.

Plenty who cover or watch Manchester United in a cursory capacity still view the 26-year-old as a flop when the tag does him a disservice. Fred has established himself as a Manchester United player.

MEN report

“It is been a great past month, a source who works with Fred told the MEN. He is improving overall, and he is getting more adapted to the Premier League; the intensity and the physical differences between the Ukrainian league and the Premier League.

He is more adjusted. I guess he is going to keep getting better. The MEN previously reported Fred’s camp summarized his first year in England was one of adaptation but Manchester United staff had given very positive feedback on his training performances.”

Fred was taken aback by the demands of the Premier League after five years with Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine and arranged for additional conditioning sessions to better prepare for his second season in England.

He has already played 628 more minutes of Premier League football and started six more matches than in the entirety of last season when the £52million midfielder went 53 days without playing for Solskjaer.

The clumsy scheduling of his July wedding that coincided with the pre-season tour now feels unimportant.

The differences between Ukrainian and English football were labeled as infamous and Fred, even though his skill, originate the day-to-day routine at Manchester United far harder than he skilled in the Ukraine or Brazil.

In the last year, he has excelled against City, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham.

That was the Fred from Shakhtar, a distinct basis close to Fred said after the 2-1 loss of Spurs in December.

Premier League: How Fred has proved Pep Guardiola right at Man Utd
Premier League: How Fred has proved Pep Guardiola right at Man Utd

Fred beamed that working with Mourinho was ‘an opportunity not to be missed’ while Mourinho promised Fred is creative brain and passing vision will give us another dimension to our game.

Mourinho Interview

Mourinho said two months earlier, “I think that a team without a Brazilian is not a team, but Ivan Rakitic was his preferred choice to replace Michael Carrick. Willian and Alex Sandro were regarded as Brazilians more in the Mourinho mold.”

Mourinho got the impression it would be Fred or no one and the technical chief scout Mick Court pushed for a deal.

Mourinho was lucid to the shortcomings in Fred’s game but also his strengths, and United scouted him thoroughly after City passed and had their heads turned by Jorginho.

Both columns for Fred are barren and his sole Man Utd assist for Romelu Lukaku against Southampton was in March, via a ricochet. The non-existent numbers need to be pumped up.

Fred has started the last 18 league games and Manchester United cannot do without him. Solskjaer’s medical bulletins are as reliable as Dr.

Nick’s, Paul Pogba previously been shelved longer than his manager said and McTominay only just had his knee brace detached.

Fred has not appeared visibly tired and continues to work with Professor LC Cameron, based at the Laboratory of Protein Biochemistry in Rio de Janeiro, on his durability. Fred has not submitted to a single wound all term.

He is enjoying the tranquility of an overwater bungalow in the Maldives, where Fred is unreachable. Last week he was incredible.

Man Utd officially completed the signing of Bruno Fernandes yesterday and now, the Red Devils should focus on luring a center forward on transfer deadline day.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man United made a move worth 25 million euros to sign Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi, however, the Turkish club opted to reject the offer. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

It has been stated that the Super Lig club does not want to sell their valued asset at the center of the campaign and value him at about 50 million euros £42million.

The 25-year-old striker has been extremely inspiring in Turkey. Last season, in 34 league appearances he netted 17 goals and also provided 8 assists for Caykur Rizespor.

He moved to Fenerbahce last year and as far as the current campaign is concerned so far, the Kosovo international has directly contributed to 18 goals 13 goals and 5 assists in as many starts all competitions.

Muriqi made his senior international debut back in 2016 and has netted 8 times in 23 appearances for his country thus far.

Man Utd has not replaced Romelu Lukaku as yet and with Rashard out injured they must sign a top striker before the closure of the winter transfer window tonight.

Vedat Muriqi’s performance in the Turkish league indicates that he has got a quality eye for goal but is he good enough to bang regular goals in the Premier League? We will only see if he finishes up moving to England.

Bruno Fernandes shirt number after Man Utd signing

Bruno Fernandes will uniform the number 18 shirt at Manchester United, according to a leaked spitting image on social media. The Portuguese midfielder became Manchester United’s first signing of the January window on Thursday.

Fernandes joined Manchester United on Thursday, ending the window’s longest transfer saga.

The Portuguese top employed a long-term agreement at Old Trafford after Manchester United decided to pay a preliminary fee of £46.6million to Sporting Lisbon.

However, after the announcement was made fans were left waiting to see his shirt number.

Fans immediately began speculating over what shirt he would be given, having worn the number eight at Sporting. But now, it appears to have been cleared up.

Overnight, images emerged on Twitter showing Fernandes holding up a number 18 shirt with his name printed on the back. The two images were widely circulated, with another showing Fernandes with a group of people.

The 18 shirt has been leftward unfilled following Ashley Young’s latest transfer to Inter Milan.

After sealing the switch, Fernandes discussed the incredible feeling of having joined the Red Devils, while saying he wants to win trophies at Old Trafford.

Bruno saying about Man Utd

The 25-year-old playmaker said: “My love of Manchester United started when I used to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play and ever since then I have been a big fan of this great club.

For me to now play for Man Utd feels incredible, I have worked hard to get to this moment and I can promise the fans that I will give everything for the emblem to help transport us more achievement and awards.”

I want to be grateful for Sporting for all they have complete for me. It is strange to perceive the nice words that have been said about me from performers that used to play for this squad.

A huge thank you to Ole and everybody at Man Utd for the faith they have exposed in me and I cannot wait to start to repay that on the pitch.

Fernandes might brand his entrance for the Premier League getup on Saturday beside Wolves before the wintertime break.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refused to give anything away regarding when fans could expect to see him in a Manchester United shirt for the first time.

He explained: We have been following Bruno for several months and everybody here has been very captivated with all his qualities and what he will transport to this team.

Most prominently he is an enormous human being with a great character and his control qualities are clear for all to understand.

Bruno acknowledges he had his soul set on a transfer to the Premier League after Man Utd finally agreed a deal with Sporting. Manchester United were in danger of missing out on signing the 25-year-old before the end of the January transfer window as they had refused to meet Sporting’s asking price.

But United stepped up negotiations on Tuesday after learning about Barcelona’s late interest and offered €55 million £46.5m upfront plus €10m £8. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

4m in bonuses that are considered achievable by Sporting and a further €15m (£12.7m) in payments which are less likely to come to fruition.

Fernandes is expected to arrive in England on Wednesday to finalize his move to Old Trafford.

On Tuesday evening, Fernandes’ close friend, Carolina Deslandes, posted a picture of them together on her Instagram account with an airplane emoji, suggesting that the midfielder is already en route to England.

The Portugal international was also stopped outside his house by Portuguese television station SIC as he made his way to his car with Deslandes. Asked if the Premier League was his preference, Bruno replied:

Fernandes has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Man Utd and will sign a long-term deal. Fernandes should provide Manchester United with a much-needed boost in their attacking having scored 15 goals and registered 14 assists in 28 appearances for sporting this season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is also pushing to sign a new striker before Friday’s transfer deadline to cope with the absence of Marcus Rashford, which could is set to be sidelined for about three months due to a backbone injury.

Bruno Fernandes latest and Man Utd news

Manchester United must over go a two-goal shortfall if they need to touch the Carabao Cup final tonight.

Manchester United face a difficult task to make it to Wembley after losing the first leg 3-1 against Manchester City earlier in January, but they will take encouragement from their win at the Etihad in the Premier League this season.

Nemanja Matic is a slight doubt for the game having been substituted at half time of Manchester United’s FA Cup demolition of Tranmere at the weekend, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed the midfielder might not play against City.

However, Solskjaer did say that Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay could start training again soon as they ramp up their respective recoveries from injury.

In terms of transfer news, Manchester United is confident of signing Bruno Fernandes after a significant breakthrough in transfer negotiations.

What shirt number could Bruno Fernandes wear?

Man Utd is confident of signing Bruno Fernandes after a breakthrough was made in negotiations with Sporting on Tuesday night.

Manchester United have until Friday night to complete the signing, with the first team taking on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday before hosting Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday in what might be Fernandes’ unveiling.

The Sporting No.8 has scored 14 goals and assisted 13 this season and would add much-needed creativity to the Manchester United midfield.

However, he would not be allowed his preferred squad number yet. Not only would he be vying with Juan Mata for a starring role, he would be doing so for his current number eight shirt, too.

Manchester United set two summer transfer priorities

Manchester United is set to prioritize the transfers of Jack Grealish and James Maddison as soon as the January window closes, according to reports.

Manchester United are looking to sign two players before Friday’s transfer deadline, with Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes a high-profile target throughout January and Manchester  United are closing in on a deal for him.

Premier League: Bruno breaks silence as Man Utd agree transfer with Sporting

But now, The Independent suggests planning has already begun for the summer transfer window, with Grealish and Maddison the two priorities once the season is over.

The pair faced each other in Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at Villa Park, and do both impress in the Premier League this season for their respective sides.

However, if Manchester United were to sign the English duo, they would presumably not come cheap given their importance to their current clubs and potential involvement in Euro 2020 this summer.

Man Utd directed Old Trafford flop, Alexis Sanchez, on loan to Inter Milan in last summer’s transfer window.

Manchester United are planning to hand Alexis Sanchez a fresh start at Old Trafford with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to try and reintegrate the Chilean into his Red Devils squad ahead of next season. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Sanchez flopped after rocking up at Manchester United in January 2018 and was last summer farmed out on loan to Inter Milan after Ed Woodward failed to find a buyer for the club’s highest earner.

Daily Star report

However, the Daily Star report Manchester United have informed Sanchez’s agents he would not be allowed to join Inter on a permanent basis or head to any other club because they want to recall the 31-year-old and give him a second opportunity to prove he can make it in Manchester.

Sanchez, who would sooner stay in Serie A than return to the Premier League, will be part of Manchester United’s traveling party which goes on their pre-season tour with Solskjaer eager to include him in his first-team plans.

Man Utd, who cannot recall Sanchez this month to help cope with Marcus Rashford’s injury woe, will be well aware that his struggles while on loan at Inter have hardly made him a more attractive proposition for any would-be suitors.

While his stratospheric wages can reach £500,000 a week with bonuses factored in, meaning only a handful of clubs could realistically afford him if they were inclined to make a move.

Solskjaer and Manchester United will now take a chance on Sanchez who is under contract at Old Trafford until 2022 and may yet be sold on next year if round two of the experiment fails.

Sanchez from Arsenal to Man Utd

Sanchez scored just five goals in 45 appearances after leaving Arsenal for Manchester United in a swap deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan head in the opposite direction two years ago.

The former Udinese and Barcelona star has registered one goal in seven appearances for Inter, although the first half of his campaign was marred by a tendon injury suffered back in October.

Following Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku’s departures, Man Utd has lacked a senior figure in attack this season and the Chile international’s availability would save Solskjaer from having to splash out on an experienced forward.

Solskjaer risks upsetting members of his squad by welcoming Sanchez back into the fold, though, with the No 7 unpopular at Carrington having failed to win over his team-mates in the wake of his January 2018 arrival.

Man Utd is facing the prospect of a summer rebuilding job with plenty of upheaval on the cards as Woodward and co. prepare to back Solskaer in the transfer market.

Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes, who looks increasingly likely to stay put this month is top of Solskjaer’s wish list which also includes Leicester’s James Maddison, Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and Ajax’s Donny van de Beek as options to inject some much-needed creativity into Manchester United’s midfield.

The Norwegian likes the look of Lyon’s Moussa Dembele, RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner, Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, and Lille’s Boubakary Soumare as well.

Fernandes has been in sensational form for the Portuguese side this season netting 15 goals and providing 14 assists in all competitions.

Sporting are next in action tomorrow when they take on Maritime and manager Silas has given an update on how the transfer rumors are impacting the player.

Solskjaer about Man Utd

He said: “Very good, always in a good mood and always available to work. I realize that he is more anxious, but I did not notice it in training or the game. I think he will play and I have them I’m sure you will play well.”

He added: We missed a lot of goals in the games of Benfica and FC Porto and Bruno was there in those games, but it was a question of effectiveness. Of course, when goals are scored, there is talk in a way about a certain performance and when the goals are not achieved.

Such goals already speak of an exhibition in another way. We did not deserve to lose. We were not inferior to FC Porto; on the contrary, we were superior. It has to do with whether we put the ball in there or not.

Man Utd is desperate to add to their midfield this month with Fred, Andreas Pereira, and Nemanja Matic the only players available to Solskjaer at present.

Fernandes would provide another option and a creative spark that has lacked for the Red Devils so far this season.

We are still working on one or two things so let’s see if the club gets it over the line, he said.

Man Utd boss Solskjaer also defended his position at the club following the victory in the FA Cup fourth round. I do not know what you have said and written, he said.

You can see everyone wanted us to fail but it does not bother me. I cannot be up and down emotionally. I’m happy but would not relax. Two big games coming up:

What Fernandes has said

Fernandes spoke numerous times about his future and suggested that he would like to move to the Premier League but these comments from the playmaker were the most telling in the summer.

“The president decides that, not me,” he told. “I do not care about the market; I have talked about this many times. The only thing I can do now is that I need to catch the plane so I do not miss it. Will this be the last match for Sporting? I do not know it is the coach who decides.”

I said I would like to play in England, but I do not care about it right now. If it could be this season it could be when the club decides, I’m not in charge.

Fernandes’ reaction

Reports in Portugal claimed that Bruno Fernandes was starting to feel uneasy about the situation regarding his future.

According to Record, the player told Sporting that he was not enjoying how the transfer saga was working out.

Tottenham were said to have made an offer of €60m for the midfielder, therefore triggering a clause in the player’s contract that meant his club would have to pay him €5m due to a loyalty clause after they turned down an offer above €35m.

However, Sporting was said to be reluctant to pay the money and instead considered offering Fernandes a new contract worth €5m a year.

The Portuguese club was reportedly holding out for a fee of €70m, with super-agent Jorge Mendes involved in the deal.

The article in Record went on as far as to say that the player can no longer cope with the transfer saga but was not ready to force a move from his club to Spurs.

Fernandes opens up on failed move

The player admitted after the transfer window closed that he agreed a deal to join Spurs. But Tottenham did not have an agreement with Sporting over a fee for the player.

In an interview with GQ, Fernandes said: “As you all know, Tottenham made a lot of proposals for me. Everything was right with me, or practices should be. I never made any big demands; my manager was always dealing with the finances.”

It was and is my goal to play in England, Sporting know that everyone knows that, and there were conditions for things to be done.

But Sporting understood that the value was not enough and I have to respect the decision.

Now Manchester United is looking for quick fixes to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive. The club is facing rivalry for Slimani though, who is at present on loan at Monaco.

Slimani is at present on loan at Leicester and therefore problems are surrounding a possible switch this month.

The Red Devils are in the midst of an injury crisis in the final third, with top goalscorer Marcus Rashford ruled out for the next few months.

The England international’s sidelining means that Man Utd have only Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood to call upon to lead their line.

The Old Trafford outfit offloaded Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez in the summer transfer window with many of the Manchester United supporters perplexed by the lack of replacements for the experienced pair.

Manchester United is clearly now in need of reinforcements with the Premier League top-four hopefuls looking to the loan market in search of a new striker.

Ighalo is currently on the books of Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua but has experience of the Premier League after his time with Watford.

Brendan Rodgers explanation Man Utd

Brendan Rodgers has explained that he believes a deal may be too complicated, something   Manchester United would need to untangle.

“I think that looks like it is probably going to be too complicated,” said Rodgers when quizzed about Slimani joining another club in this transfer window.

“There is a curiosity in him, but he is there at Monaco and due to be there for the term. I’m not sure if anything will happen on that or not, but it will just make it a little bit complicated.”

The Nigeria international is a predatory player in the opposition penalty box and has the potential to make Manchester United more clinical in front of goal.

Slimani is currently on loan from Leicester City to Monaco but it remains to be seen whether the Algerian would be available to move to Old Trafford for the second half of the campaign.

Manchester United lost 2-0 to Burnley on Wednesday night in a disappointing performance and result, with the club back in action this Sunday with an FA Cup clash against Tranmere Rovers.

According to The Times, Fernandes is frustrated by the conduct of Sporting CP and the Red Devils during the negotiations but still wants to sign for the Old Trafford club as soon as possible.

Similarly, Portuguese source Record via Sport Witness has reported that a 25-year-old attacker is in a rush to agree a move to Manchester United this month.

Without the presence of star scorer, Rashford, Solskjaer’s team has failed to score a single goal in the last two games and the fixtures are going to get tougher.

After the FA Cup contest vs. Tranmere, Manchester United will have to face Manchester City in the League Cup and then they have PL games against Wolves and Chelsea, who are battling for the final Champions League qualification spot.

The Norwegian manager needs Fernandes more than ever and must pay up if needed to lure him. The Portuguese international, who has regularly scored and created goals for over a year, is naturally an attacking midfielder but he can effectively play in the central midfield as well.

In the current campaign, so far, the former Serie A attacker has directly contributed in 29 goals 15 goals and 14 assists in just 25 appearances for the Liga Nos club. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the final days of the winter transfer window.

Manchester United offered €50 million upfront for the Portuguese international with add-ons taking the deal up to €60.5 million. The sections comprised were allegedly thought too impractical by Sporting, counting Fernandes winning the Ballon d’Or.

As an outcome, the Portuguese club obvious to hold out for their innovative requesting price of €80 million.

The move wills likely anger Man Utd fans that are becoming increasingly vocal with their displeasure towards the Glazer ownership.

It is being stated that Tevez might be transported back Old Trafford on a credit spell until the end of the present season, according to Italian channel Tuttosport. Tevez, who has only counted three goals in 10 league games for Boca this term, is not in the plans of their present hierarchy.

Man Utd’s race in the top four battles came to a screeching halt on Wednesday night after Burnley defeated them at Old Trafford with a 2-0 scoreline. The Red Devils have now endured their worst start in 30 years following the defeat at the hands of the Clarets last night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now lost three of his previous four matches in the Premier League which has racked up the pressure even more with many critics questioning his worth as the Manchester United boss. Solskjaer’s Nightmare Spell as the Man Utd Boss

Things are looking quite dire at the Theatre of Dreams as the Mancunian giants are currently trailing fourth-placed Chelsea by six points in the league standings.

Since being appointed as Manchester United’s permanent manager back in March last year, Solskjaer has taken charge of 45 matches, winning 19, drawing 11 and losing 15 of those games across all competitions.

The Norwegian head coach has only averaged 1.51 points per match during his managerial reign at Old Trafford stats via transfermarkt. It is only a matter of time before the Man Utd board has to decide on whether to stick with Solskjaer through thick and thin or to sack him in search of a favorable replacement.

Either way, there is no doubt that Solskjaer is wilting under pressure and is in dire need of securing a run of favorable results over the next few weeks.

Is It Time For Man Utd To Sack Ole?

If the situation does not improve in the coming weeks, then the Red Devils should entertain the idea of sacking their Norwegian manager.

One can argue whether a top club like Man Utd will be better-suited to be led by a head coach with more experience and pedigree than what Solskjaer currently offers in his CV.

With 14 league matches remaining in this Premier League campaign, the 46-year-old will have his hands full in coping with the mounting injury concerns that currently surround him at Old Trafford.

The Mancunian giants are set to face Manchester City, Wolver Hampton Wanderers, and Chelsea over the next few weeks.

The outcome of those fixtures could very well determine the fate of the young manager. The sensible decision for Ed Woodward and co. would be to give Solskjaer a few more matches to turn things around before deciding on his future at the club. After all, the best time to get a world-class manager would be in the summer.
