Maddison – a boyhood United fan – is believed to be keen on a move to Old Trafford, with the Daily Star stating that talks over a new deal at Leicester have not progressed as far as has previously been claimed.
That has given United encouragement that they can get a deal done – though not until the summer transfer window. Maddison has previously been linked with Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea.
Dembele is Arsenal’s priority
Arsenal is on the hunt for a new forward and has reportedly made Lyon’s Moussa Dembele their ‘priority’.
That’s according to French outlet Le 10 Sport, which states that the Gunners are bracing themselves for the departure of at least one of their star forwards in the coming months.
The 23-year-old has caught the eye for Lyon this season, scoring 10 goals in 18 league matches to put himself just five short of his overall tally in Ligue 1 last year.
Spurs eyeing up a huge bid for Varane
Jose Mourinho will look to boost his defence with the addition of World Cup winner Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.
