Chelsea are said to be “close” to making a £120million move for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.

The 19-year-old has also been linked to Manchester United and Liverpool, but the Sun state that Frank Lampard’s team are working on a club-record deal for the former Manchester City winger after seeing their transfer ban reduced.

Stamford Bridge is apparently “the most likely destination” for the England international after Chelsea indicated that they will meet Dortmund’s £120m valuation.

Liverpool has reportedly been put off by that figure, and Lampard is keen to bring in some star quality in attack following the exit of Eden Hazard in the summer.

Lampard identifies transfer priority

Frank Lampard has identified the area that he sees as a priority during the January transfer window, with a left-footed central defender on top of the wish list, according to reports.

Goal (via the Express) claims that the Chelsea boss is keen to see a player come in to provide some balance for Fikayo Tomori, who alongside Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen is right-footed. One of the names mentioned is Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake, who left Stamford Bridge for the Cherries in 2017.
