After 689 days, competitive football returns to N17 as Spurs host Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ahead of the inaugural match, chairman Daniel Levy has been speaking about the 62k-capacity ground.
He addressed questions regarding Arsenal’s influence during the design and revealed his favourite part of the stadium.
Daniel Levy reveals his favourite part of the new stadium
Having had such a heavy influence in designing the new stadium, the chairman has revealed his favourite part of the stadium.
Unsurprisingly, he has chosen a very exclusive and luxurious VIP room in the new stadium.
Alasdair Gold from Football.London reports:
And what is Levy’s favourite part of the new stadium? It’s The Vault, a very exclusive wine room, with a single table for six, which sits enclosed by glass and walls of wine bottles inside the super smart H Club premium area, an upgrade within an upgrade.
Daniel Levy shuts down Arsenal claims
Many critics of the new stadium claim the design has been heavily influenced by the Emirates Stadium.
Not just in terms of looks but also in size, with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium holding 1,802 more supporters.
Some believe Tottenham added a few extra thousand just to one-up their rivals, but according to Levy that isn’t the case.
