Liverpool are making a way of signing Shakhtar Donetsk striker Alex Teixeira as Jurgen Klopp efforts to make his first big signing since joining ‘The Reds’ as manager in October. They are ready to pay about £24.5m for the 26-year-old Brazilian international. Klopp’s signings for Liverpool consist of defender Steven Caulker and 19-year-old midfielder Marko Grujic. Caulker joined ‘The Reds’ on loan from Queens Park Rangers and Grujic was singed in a fee of £5.1m from Red Star Belgrade, who has been given back to the Serbian side on loan by the end of this season. But if Teixeira comes to Liverpool, it would be the first major singing of Jurgen Klopp for the Anfield side. And then Teixeira would be the 4th Brazilian in Liverpool’s senior ranks, who will join Lucas Leiva, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho.
