Chelsea were away at Championship side MK Dons for the FA Cup fourth round game on Sunday, which they won by 5-1 with the help of Oscar’s brilliant first-half hat-trick. He is the first Chelsea player to score a hat-trick since Diego Costa scored against Swansea City in September 2014. Now the Blues will face Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in the fifth round. Manchester United will visit New Meadow, the home ground of League One side Shrewsbury Town.
There will also be a repeat of the 2014 final in this round, when holders Arsenal will host Hull City. The Tigers also faced Arsenal in the FA Cup third round last year, when the Gunners knocked them out with a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium. Moreover, Tottenham Hotspur will host Crystal Palace and Everton will visit Bournemouth in two all-Premier League clashes. The matches will be played on the weekend of 19-21 February. In the other games Leeds United visit Watford, Reading and Blackburn will host the winners of the replay between “West Brom and Peterborough” and “Liverpool and West Ham” respectively.
But the game between Chelsea and Manchester City will catch the most attention due to the draw between the two most recent Premier League champions. Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink says it a “huge game”. “It’s already a final!” the Dutchman added. This means Manuel Pellegrini’s team have third consecutive away draw against Premier League opposition. They visited Norwich City and Aston Villa in the third and fourth round respectively, they won both the games by 3-0 and 4-0. Now it is a challenge for them in the fifth round.
